Basic Guides. Empty Basic Guides.

This basically works for any server:

For a server with no optional downloads; or wz. edits
1. Download+ install v83 into a folder, called v83 or something like that. Do not download it into your GMS folder, or else when you try to log in, you get a notification saying "This account does not exist". I recommend you keep big files like v83 in you Local disk, your Documents, or something that ISN'T on your desktop, because having big files on your desktop, slows down your computer apparently.

2. Download the client (The little mushroom thingy) and once you've downloaded it, drag it to where you installed your v83.

3. Register and enjoy your game play <3

For a server with Wz. Edits:

Do the exact same up there, but if you plan on playing two or more private servers, I recommend you make 2 v83 files, one for all the servers with no edits, and one for the one server that does, so that you won't get banned for wz.edits.

If you have downloaded GMS, or any server higher than v88 in your computer, you might d/c after you enter your pin to get ingame. To prevent this from happening again, go to Computer>System properties *at the top*>Device Manager *at the side*, and look for 'Adapters'. Click the little arrow or whatever to get the 'Adapters' to drop down. When it does, then, click 'Microsoft Loopback Adapter', and at the top, click the little computer icon with a red 'X', which means you're disabling it.

If you're playing the game, and suddenly you keep d/cing consistently with an error code saying : Error code: -2147467259, than you need to update your drivers. I will glady provide a link when asked, I just need what kind of software you're running (WIN7, XP, Vista, etc.)

If you're on a vista, and you d/c with a "Error Code: 10093", than you need to do the following:
Click your start button and go to all programs, and search 'Command Prompt'.
Right click it and run it as administrator *Right click Command Prompt and select the option where it says 'Run As Administrator*. Once it's open, type in 'Netsh Winsock reset', and press 'enter' on your keyboard. After you've finished, restart your computer.

This is a very common error, "Error Code -2147287038". You're missing a file, usually Mob.wz. If you PM me, I'll be glad to give a link to whatever file you need. If you're unsure, than re-install v83.

If you d/c with an 'Error 38', then just restart the client again. It's nothing really.

If you get a "Server Check/Firewall" error, it usually means:
a)The server is offline
b)You have a anti-virus that is NOT letting you use it.
c)Your firewall is disabling it.
Solutions
a) Simply wait for a server restart, or wait for it to go online again.
b)Disable your anti-virus. DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT download Norton Security It has horrible protection, alerts false viruses and trojans, and when your subscription expires, you always get this stupid pop up. I recommend Esset Smart Security or AVG4
c) Go to Control Panel> System and Security> Windows Firewall> (At the left hand side) Turn Windows Firewall on/off>Select "Turn Windows Firewall off" or something like that. If you do not want to disable your firewall, go to Computer>Control Panel>System and Security> (Left hand side) Let another program or feature through windows firewall> Allow another program> Select PandaMS.exe & Maplestory.exe from your v83 folder.

ijl15.dll missing doesn't mean that you don't have ijl15.dll missing from your v83 folder, it just means that you haven't placed the client into your v83 folder. To do that, find your client and click it. Press 'Ctrl' and 'X' on your keyboard to 'cut' it. Go to your v83 folder and press 'Ctrl' and 'P' to paste it there.

http://www.mediafire.com/?nj2vzn2gjmn <- click this link and download it. Replace your Quest.wz in your v83 folder if you hate those quest pop ups and the lightbulb above your head in-game. No, it's not a wz edit.

Error code: -2005530520
You have clicked 2 different private server clients. Quit one of the games a log onto one game.
That, or the fact that your computer/laptop has a registry problem. Download a registry cleaner here> http://www.fixerrortoday.com/tidpp-2...5_error-zz0001 <

Error:Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime
Rarely, you might get this error. It's usually caused by conflict with applications, viruses or memory issues. Make sure to scan your computer/laptops for viruses. Use the registry cleaner, link available below.

npkcrypt.dll Missing
It's possible that your MapleStory files have been mixed in with Combat Arms. Usually BankaiStory. To fix this, keep Combat Arms on (C, and reinstall v83/ v55, or whatever version you need; onto your desktop. Even if it slows your computer/laptop down when you have large files on your desktop, just have it there temporarily.
If that doesn't work, download it here : http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dl...shtml?npkcrypt . Before you do that, make sure that you use the registry
cleaner(number2), and scan your computer.
